Resident Violet Blum recently celebrated her 100th birthday with a special party attended by family, friends, and staff. Born in 1925 in Paterson, N.J., she worked in a shirt factory before marrying her husband, John, and later became a mail sorter while raising four children. She attributes her longevity to staying active and embracing life’s moments.
